Even energy giant Shell has recently invested in green energy, with their purchase of Inspired Energy. 

This purchase got energy experts at SaveOnEnergy.com/uk thinking: which is the most popular renewable energy stock that Brits are searching to invest in?

To find out, SaveOnEnergy.com/uk examined the most popular renewable energy stocks currently on the market by utilising a range of sources. Using SEMrush, they then calculated the average monthly UK search volumes for each stock to determine which renewable energy stock Brits are most interested in investing in!

SaveOnEnergy.com/uk can reveal that Tesla is the most searched for renewable energy stock, with a monthly average search volume of 696,000! Tesla’s mission, according to founder Musk, is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

The second most searched for renewable energy stock is Plug Power Inc. with a monthly average search volume of 43,290. Founded in 1997, stock for Plug Power Inc. is currently experiencing price turbulence. 

Rounding off the top 10 as the 10th most searched for renewable energy stock is First Solar, with 3,800 monthly average searches in the UK.

Placing 12th is Shell’s newly acquired provider, Inspired Energy, with 3,210 searches on average each month.

Meanwhile, rounding off the top 20 and ranking 19th in the UK for renewable energy stock searches is SolarEdge Technology, which receives an average of 800 searches each month.
