Ev.energy & Easee partnership launching to save EV drivers money on energy bills

Software specialist, ev.energy, is teaming up with Easee, one of the world’s top manufacturers of electric vehicle chargers, to offer drivers the opportunity to save hundreds of pounds on their energy bills.

Ev.energy is a global software provider of managed electric vehicle (EV) charging. Easee’s innovative domestic charger offers EV drivers one of the most simplified hardware experiences, with no compromises in aesthetics or quality.

The partnership has developed as a result of mutual appreciation for each company’s industry leading technology. The combined hardware and software package is rapid to install, courtesy of Easee’s in built connectivity, and ev.energy’s simple and compliant commissioning process. It will save the average EV driver £250 per year on their energy bills.

Easee’s UK customers can now use ev.energy’s proprietary ‘smart charging’ product feature, which automatically optimises a car’s charging schedule according to when there is low energy demand on the grid and energy is cheapest and greenest. This saving is passed directly to the customer.

Not only will Easee customers using the ev.energy app be able save money on their energy bill, but they can also claim between £60-£120 in cash rewards while reducing their carbon emissions by 20 per cent.

The partnership comes at a time when consumers, businesses and larger fleets are facing soaring inflation rates and energy bills – as well as an increasing imperative to decarbonise.

Nick Wooley, CEO at ev.energy, says“It’s a pleasure working with Effie and the Easee team. Easee share our vision to simplify electric vehicle charging for EV drivers across the globe, and roll out solutions that are quick to install, and easy to support.”

“The opportunity in the UK right now is particularly exciting given the UK government’s shift towards 100% smart charging, through the UK’s “Smart Charging Regulations 2021”. Our joint solution meets this challenge by delivering a fast and compliant installation experience that supports drivers to save money, by charging using green energy from the grid or their solar panels, every time they charge.”

Csilla Heim, UK Country Director at Easee, said: “We’re on a mission to shape the future of electricity and want to make electric vehicle charging as accessible and affordable as possible. This new partnership will reduce the cost of energy bills and help consumers to charge their vehicles at times when fewer fossil fuels are being used on the grid. This is good for people and good for the planet too.”
