Yesterday, the European Commission released some detailed guidelines on the implementation the CSRD, also known as, the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
These guidelines have been implemented with an aim of enhancing transparency and accountability with this. The CSRD applies to large undertakings, SMEs, excluding micro-undertaking with transferable securities admitted to trading on EU regulated markets, parent companies of large groups and certain third-country entities with significant business operations within the EU.
All entities will need to prepare sustainability information following the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
